Let me guess that you are in England , I say that because here in the US the Legend is called an Acura, a Luxury line made by Honda.  I even used to own one.

So , first you'll need a parts source in England, and I tried Google as a search engine and found seveal that handled everything from bolt up parts to high performance internal engine components.

For your car, I would start with the K & N Induction system.  It's a free flowing air filter, and accessory inlet tubing and parts to allow your engine to breathe more air as it's running. This allows it to use more gas, and increases performance somewhat.  Second , and VERY important in a free flowing exhaust system, with a performance muffler.  I don't know if in Eng. you are required to use catalytic converters on the exhaust, but they are also available for high performance , and would make quite a difference. If cars don't need them over there, pay it no mind.

Once you've done these things, you may wish to change the computer innerds to gain some performance. however, this requires replacement chips.  This is something I have never worked with so I cannot advise you.

One pertinent point for you  though.  Horsepower is made through the burning of petrol. More petrol burned at a given time, equals more performance.  There is no exception to this rule.  However the first two recommendations I give you  improve efficiency , and as such do not impair fuel mileage, and may even enhance it , but ONLY when you are driving conservatively! .  When you are exacting maximum performance though, expect your petrol useage to rise .
