BMW Repair: 1995 740iL no attempt to start, 1995 bmw 740il, fuse box

Question
My 1995 BMW 740il started one day and I turned it off after 1 minute to use my keys to lock the house up. I went to restart the car and it turned over for 1-2 seconds and stopped. Since then it seems to have plenty of battery; but, when turning the ignition it does nothing towards starting-not a click or buzz or anything. Everything on the dash lights up and the headlights are bright. I thought I'd look at the starter fuse before hauling it in. Where do I find the starter fuse? The box under the hood on pass. side does not have it; nor, does the fuse box I find above the battery in the trunk. It was very cold that day and the car had not been started for 3-4 wks until that 1 minute start up. Fliuids are good. Thanks, Jim

Answer
Assuming its an automatic, its got a start relay so it starts in p or n only, also its got an immobiliser tranponder in the key.Try your spare key and wiggle the shifter in p and n.
Other than that see if you are getting power to the starter solonoid when cranking.Get someone to scan it.
