BMW Repair: X5 wont start (2005), fuel line, fuel lines

Question
I needed to change a damaged track rod end (O/S) so jacked the car up. I had to jack it higher than normal to gain access. I also used some timbers to support the car and wondered if it was possible to squash a fuel line or is their a trip if the car is jacked up too much out of level.I have taken a fuel line off at the engine and no diesel is coming through when I turn over the engine, have checked the fuse and all looks ok, any ideas?

Answer
Other than looking at the area where you jacked it up to look for damaged fuel lines,I think they are plastic anyway.

Check the fuel pump fuse to see if its getting power when cracking, if not you will need to scan the engine management and check what fault codes are present, especially if you turned on the ignition while it was jacked up.

Good luck
