BMW Repair: 1995 BMW 325 electrical problem, filament bulbs, double filament

Question
The 1995 BMW 325 right front turn signal light does not work at all. All other lights on that side work. When I went looking to do what I thought was the norm, just replace the bulb I discovered that the light socket was gone and the power feed to it is a 2 prong supply which is weird because the other side is a 3 prong supply with a dual filament bulb. Have done a lot of testing but so far no success. Being a 2 prong I can only think that a single filament bulb would work but since I can not get any hot to the plug I have no idea. Just purchased the car so I don't know the history about what is supposed to be their. Most of the mechanics I talked to about this don't really seem to understand this problem and I would like to avoid taking it to a shop or a dealership. If you have any thoughts on where to start I would appreciate any words of wisdom if this problem rings a bell.

Answer
Well first off I think that the bulbs are incorrect as I don't believe they use double filament bulbs.Look into the connector and see if there are 2 conntacts.Grounds are a big problem, the wires turning green with corrosion,or the connector just being bad. Both set of wires should be the same, you may have a broken wire, check the wires again.
