BMW Repair: 2003 e46 wont start, trickle charge, bmw dealership

Question
I have a 2003 BMW E46 I live in canada(although this is a california car) and had my car sitting in an unheated garage for 5 months the battery froze so I replaced it with a new one, I have had to recharge the new battery a few times as I'm not home all the time due to work. Now when I try to start it the shifter feels as if it is locked the brake will not let me push it in and when i turn the key there is nothing happening. When I put the key in the ignition everything turns on but the lights in the vechile are pulsing. I have a 2amp,15amp,100amp charger and the battery seems to only get as high as 61% when charging at 15amps. Any advice would be appreciated as I live 4 hrs from the nearest BMW dealership.

Thanks

Dave

Answer
First, try charging the battery longer on a 2 amp trickle charge.....a day or so.

if the battery is fully charged and you get the same symptoms, it sounds like the brake pedal is jammed for some reason.  Check under it to make sure it is clear.  Then check through the brake system to assure there isn't a lock up for some reason.
