BMW Repair: Resetting airbag indicator light, side impact airbag, bmw z3

I recently replaced the driver side power window motor on my 2001 BMW Z3 which required removing and replacing the side impact airbag. Since then the airbag indicator light on the instrument panel has been illuminated.  What do I do to reset the light to go off?

it can only be reset by the dealer"s tester. Or an scanner that is very top of the line. If you ever do a repair like that again only have an airbag componet disconnected with the ignition off. If you need to move the window during the repair plug the part back in while the key is on.
