BMW Repair: 330CI REMOVABLE HARDTOP, optional hardtop, removable hardtop

Hi Evan
I have a 2001 330ci with the optional hardtop and it has started to creak around the sunvisor latch area on the rhs of the roof , is this common & what can I do to fix it. Are there so type of adjustment etc that may fix the problem ?

I don't know of any adjustments, with noise complaints you have to play detective and lube and remove components and shim panels and such to find the source of the noise. Very time consuming and lots of test drives. I would remove the Hardtop and check the latch for loosness or vibration/wear marks. Sticky felt tape is great at quieting noisy panels on metal. I'm am not that well versed at hardtop issues.
