BMW Repair: bmw 1999, control arm bushings, rear control arm

Question
Hi there i have 1999 bmw e46 323i i have had it for 2 months. i got M3 rims put on and for a 1 month they were great but i went on a dirt road on the weekend and now the back shakes when i drive. i was told they might be buckled but i cant see that they are and i put my old tires on with my old mags and its still the same what do u think it is? thanks

Answer
Ash have the rear suspension looked at by a BMW tech. Most common are Crappy tires, Faulty rear control arm bushings, Bad wheel bearings (usually noisy), Bent suspension arms or Sub-frame. Differential Mounting bushings loose or worn, Blown or worn rear shocks, Loose mounting bolts. Get a good rear suspension inspection and go ahead and check the tire balance and also look at the rim for defects or bends.
