DO THE LIGHT ON THE GEAR SHIFT SUPPOSE TO STAY ON. I'M TALKING ABOUT THE LIGHT THAT TELL YOU WANT POSITION U HAVE THE GEAR IN. LIKE PARK, DRIVE AND REVERSE ETC...

Dee, for the diplay on the instrument cluster the answer is no. For gear shifter LED (orange/red) the answer is yes for 16 minutes after the last vehicle input and then should go out. The GM (body controller) will shut off and enter sleep mode after 16 minutes and turn this light out. If the LED stays on for longer than this then the car is not entering sleep mode properly and will cause increased current to be drawn from the battery (should be diagnosed). If it goes out after 16min. kickback and have cold one.
