BMW Repair: Odometer is stuck, odometer, instrument panel

Question
On my 1987 325is, my odometer is stuck at 167,000 (and has been broke before I got the car). Neither the actual nor the little odometer below works. Is this a bad fuse, or bad sensor? What kind of sensor would it be and where would it be located? If it’s a fuse, witch slot and how many amps? Everything else on the instrument panel works fine. Please help me out. Thank you.

Answer
The speedometer is run by a sensor in the rear end, there are no cables. So it starts there, check to see if there is a connection at the rear end(sometimes it gets wet and corrodes)Although most problems are with the SI board as the batteries wear down and won't retake a charge.Do you have gauge problems as well? If so it is more likely the Board
