BMW Repair: 01 BMW door wont shut when cold, 2001 bmw 330xi, bmw 330xi

I have a 2001 BMW 330XI (last 7 digits of VIN: JS96325).  When the weather gets cold, my drivers side door will not shut until the car warms up.  I've sprayed silicon on the latch, but it doesn't seem to help.  The colder the weather, the longer it takes before the car warms up enough before the door will shut.

Dale, does the door not latch or the door doen't fit the door cavity physically (door adjustment)? Is the metal door striker tight and in the same place as it always has been. has the door been replaced or the lock/latch actuator in the door? If the latch is mechanically sticking until it gets warm then I would replace the door lock actuator.
