BMW Repair: BMW steering wheel vibrates, 2001 bmw 330xi, bmw 330xi

Question
My 2001 BMW 330XI(JS96325)steering wheel vibrates and rotates back and forth very slightly.  If I take my hands off the wheel, you can watch it rotating left to right to left to right, and the car continues to go straight, so I don't think it's the alignment.  Perhaps it's a bad tie rod?

Answer
Deryl, Replace front control arm rubber bushing/mounts. Check and adjust all tire pressure to some reasonable pressure (32psi). Check your tires for irregular wear. Balance tires if vibration continues. Please don't use an off brand tire either. Michelin's are expensive but the ride the best in my experience. Make sure you have the correct size tires on the vehicle and matching tread wear and pattern. Check alignment if you need to but I find the Bushings do the trick if you have good tires on the car. (Those bushings are only hold their own for 30K-45K miles anyway).
