BMW Repair: BMW 745il 1999, control arm bushings, bmw 745il

Question
My car is excessively vibrating while going over uneven pavement at lower speeds.  The front end (steering) seems to sway on cornering and the ride is a bit rough.  About 1 yr ago the dealership replaced the "ball Joints" ??  for this same problem. What should I do now, and what can be done to stiffen up the ride and steering - like when it was newer ?   who should I take the car to ?  It took alot of effort to get the dealership where I have traded with, to fix the problem the first time.

Answer
Paul, it sounds as you have multiple complants. Loose steering, Vibration over uneven surfaces, Excessive body roll, and rough ride. Have your front end looked over. If you go to the dealer be sure to test drive with the shop foreman, team leader, or technician who will be working on your car. Show them exactly what you are referring to. I don't know how many miles are on your car but I would look into the steering 'center link' and check the Control arm bushings for wear, leaks, or cracking.
