BMW Repair: heater motor, darlene darlene, power steering hose

Hi , I have a 1986 325 e and the heater was making a lot of noiese, and then quit working. I want to replace the heater motor but dont have a manual, and the kids and I want to take it out ourselves. I dont know how to get at it, and I want to put a block heater in, because it gets really cold here, and I want to replace the power steering hose because it leaks, and the fan belt is loose. Makes a lot of noise. We have to do it ourselves because the cost is prohibative to have someone else do it. I realllly appreciate your being here. Thanks, darlene

Darlene, Please buy a service manual (Bentley or Chiltons). It is a good idea to have someone knowledgable to help you along the way. This Vehicle is not my strong point as most people like yourself no longer take their older vehicle to the dealer. Better off asking one of the older experts.
