BMW Repair: 87 325i tach/mileage gauge, and ( ! ) light, rear fog lights, e36 m3

Question
Thanks so much for the response! Is there a way that i can get my hands on one from possibly a european model? cause mine has a light for the rear fog lights and i'd like them to work still! I've just noticed that most of the ones on ebay do not contain that light, do the european's work differently? I guess i'll take the thing apart and try tinkering with it first, since i can't make it not work more than it doesn't now!

-----Question-----
I have an 87 325i, it's a german import if that's relevant. I just bought it and since the day i got the thing the tach has not worked, nor has the mileage gauge beneath it. all other gauges work properly. I'm hoping that there's a simpler culprit than some kind of corrosion or something. is there maybe a fuse somewhere specifically for these two?
Also, i have a warning light on that looks like this ( ! ). I figured it's something to do with the brakes and tried a couple things and when i disconnected the plug on the brake fluid cap, it went out, but the fluid is full!  any help is much appreciated!

Michael,
E30's have problems with the guages.  Several of them that I have owned have needed the instrument cluster removed and some contacts cleaned.  You can check on Ebay.com and find used ones to replace your's with.  Pull out the cluster and give it a look-over, if nothing looks burned or hot, then its likely he contacts for the gauges.

 Good luck

Micheal,
Yes, the European BMWs had all the good stuff, and we got the ones with all the horsepower robbing emissions equipment.  Not to mention the ugly bumpers, and poor headlights.  Then when the E36 M3 came out, your version had 321HP, ours only had 240HP.... from the same car!

Anyhow... Ebay has sites for each country, and depending on what country you live in you could possibly get one there.  I know the German Ebay site (www.ebay.de) has a ton of BMW parts.  I think England has one and most other European countries.

 Good luck,
 Josh
