BMW Repair: electrical, fuse box, fuel pumps

Question
Where is the main relay for the fuel pump located? Is there any way to check a relay to see if it is good or not? Also what are all the different relays inside the main fuse box? My problem stems from fuel pumps not working. Car started and then died. I have voltage to terminal #11 at fuse. Not getting voltage to either of the two fuel pumps. Any suggestions?

 If you could provide the year and model of your BMW it would be most helpful.  If this is a follow up please include it as well.  I have several questions to answer daily, and it's hard for me to remember who is who (by name).
