BMW Repair: Crankshaft sensor., crankshaft position sensor, crankshaft sensor

I have a 01 BMW 325ci and it looks like I need to replace the crankshaft sensor.  Im not sure if its the right or left sensor yet.  Do you know where this is located and how hard it would be for me to fix myself?

Keith, I've never seen a crankshaft sensor go bad on an M54 engine like yours. There is only one crankshaft position sensor on the M54 engine. Do you mean Camshaft sensor? Camshaft sensors are commonly replaced. Let me know whether it is a Camshaft sensor (intake or exhaust) or a Crankshaft sensor.
