BMW Repair: brake system, master cylinder, brake fluid

Question
Is there a specific bleeding pattern for a 84 300-series 4cyl? All the brake fluid is gone, the pedal goes to the floor and will not pump up. Thank you for your time.

Answer
always start at the wheel farthest from the master cylinder. which would be the passenger rear wheel. make sure the master cylinder is full and that it never gets empty while doing bleeding. you need 2 people. basically, you want someone in the car to pump the brake pedal several times and then hold it down while someone opens the bleeder screw and then closes it. repeat this at each wheel until no bubble come out. bleed r/r, then l/r, then, r/f, then l/f wheels.
