BMW Repair: Engine stalling, throttle position sensor, vacuum leak

Question
It is 85 BMW 535i. It runs fine for about six months and then out of the blue it stalling and running really rough, like a car with really bad gas. If I go full trottle it will run, anything below full trottle it starts to stall. This usually goes on for a day and then it's ok. There doesn't seem to be any pattern, the temps fine, plently of gas.
Right now it's starting to go to the second day so I'm starting to worry.
Thanks for any help you can give.

Answer
check for a vacuum leak and check the throttle position sensor (use a Ohmmeter) the computer puts the car in a default full enrichment mode when you floor it, if you have trouble at other rpm's the problem is likely related to the component that controls the change from little throttle to full throttle.
