BMW Repair: exhaust system, exaust manifold, exaust system

Question
My daughter recently bought a 1987 BMW325 (5 speed manual trans) from a friend of the family.  She didn't have it checked out first - she accepted the owners word it was in good shape.  I told her the muffler sounded loud, but she insisted she asked about that and was told it was not a problem.  Two days ago the "problem" fell off the car.  The entire exhaust system (from the cat all the way back)broke off. The muffler brackets rusted out and the pipe broke off at the weld in front of the cat.  Everything looks like it was welded except for the connect from the cat.
I plan on doing the labor when my daughter gets the parts, but I don't weld.  I have found parts online - one piece construction from the cat on back to the tail. However, the cat I found does not show if it has the manifold pipe. Is the cat and manifold pipe one piece also (that would explain the mega price I saw)? I don't see a manifold pipe listed anywhere separately.  Since I don't weld, can this thing be put together with clamps? Any recco for where I can get parts?

Answer
The exaust manifold (2 pieces bolted to the engine) are connected to thecat with two 3 bolt flanges, you should be able to unbolt it their, if not, it's time to buy a new exaust manifold though from the factory the manifold bolts onto the rest of the exaust.
if all else fails, hack it off with a sawzall bolt it together and bring it to a welder to connect the final part (should only be $20-30 tops.)

I have a complete exaust system for that car i'm trying to sell (blew my engine up after 350,000 miles)  It's in good shape, I think it has about 10,000 miles on it I could send you picures though i don't know if it would be worth it to ship unless your in Phoenix?
