GMC Repair: Removing power steering pump from 2000 gmc safari van, gmc safari, safari van

Does the pulley have to come off before removing pump.

I haven't actually done that on that particular vehicle, but it sounds like guys who have changed that pump are saying yes, you do need to remove the pulley before removing the pump, then install the pulley back on after the new pump is installed.  Knowing me, I would try to remove it with the pulley still on just to save time, but people who have done it before are removing the pulley first.  Best of luck to you and thanks for choosing me!
