GMC Repair: gas to diesel swap, gmc sierra, wiring harnesses

Hi, I have a 1997 GMC Sierra 2500 and it has a vortec 350 with an automatic. It blew up yesterday and now i don't have a truck. I was thinking of doing a 6.5 turbo diesel swap. Could you please let me know what all it would take to do this swap.

well it would be quite an undertaking, you would need new engine and body wiring harnesses, new motor mounts, and possibley rewelding them if they are not in the exact same spots, new radiator, new fuel lines and tank, new ECM, TCM, TCCM, new cooling fan, depending on whether or not you had haydraulically assisted brakes you would need that entire system as well.
