GMC Repair: 2003 GMC 2500HD instrument cluster not working, amp fuse, gm web

Question
QUESTION: Hi - this morning when I started my truck, none of the gauges on the instrument cluster were working. Turn signals, cruise control, odometer etc are all working properly, NO spedometer, tach, gaas etc. Can you tell me where the fuse is located for this so I can check it? I know where the boxes are, just not which specific fuse it is and how it is labeled. Also, do you know if there is a TB on this? I have not been able to confirm that. Truck has under 50k miles if you need that info. Thanks - Lisa

ANSWER: there are actually 4 fuses in the underhood compartment, I do not know there number just the descriptions, but they are listed on the under side of the fuse compartment lid here they are
10amp IPC/DIC
14amp SEO B1
10amp ING E
10amp SEO IGN

if all of those check out you may have a bad bcm as it controls the IPC

QUESTION: Thank you - after I asked, I foudn I was able to download the manual for the truck from the GM web site. I checked all the fuses (pulled out and/or wiggled them)...no fuses found blown.....after that the gauges worked again.

Can you tell me what the bcm is?

Also - unrelated to this issue - can you tell me how to remove the center console (I have the 2 bucket seats with center full console) - I had a mouse take up residence under the console near the dash and need to make sure everything is still intact under there....mouse is gone (SNAP!).....thanks again - Lisa
