GMC Repair: YUKON BRAKES, yukon 4x4, abs light

1998 YUKON 4X4 VORTEX V8, ABS PUMP ACTIVATES AT 7 MPH WITHOUT PUSHING THE BRAKE PEDAL. WHEN PEDAL IS PUSHED AT THAT SPEED IT SEEMS THAT THE LEFT FRONT CALIPER ACTIVATES INTERMITTENTLY, AND DOESN'T STOP THE TRUCK EFFECTIVELY, BUT ONLY SLOWS IT TO BELOW 7MPH WHEN THE BRAKES WORK NORMALLY AGAIN.

Does the ABS light come on?
If so I would advice having the ABS system scanned for codes.
If not I would HIGHLY recommend taking it to a local shop and have them check it out.... Most nationwide chains do this for free. Brakes are NO JOKE, they need to be diagnosed and rerpaired properly.
