GMC Repair: Replacing Stereo speakers, gmc sierra, stereo unit

Hi I'm trying to revamp my stereo unit in my 2002 GMC Sierra, I've managed to replace the deck but I can't quite figure out how to pull off the door panels to get to the speakers. Do I need a special tool or can I just pull them off? Thanks a million for your help!

remove 2 screws (one is behind the door lock slide).
other is below the pull handle.
remove the cover around the door handle (just pry off with small scredriver.
then LIFT UP on entire door panel....don't pull out or pull on panel but lift up towards sky.
