GMC Repair: GMC 98 Jimmy SLT 4.3 electrical, tccm, body control module

Question
My Jimmy has a problem with the headlights coming on after the vehical has been turned off and the keys removed.  I've read somewhere on the internet to partially push the e brake paddle down, and that would prevent the lights from coming on.  I've been doing that for the longest, but like to know what's causing this problem.  plus the 2L light on the 4WD dash panel stays on with the keys removed.

TIA

Answer
Hi
I would have to say, with key off and OUT of ignition and lights STILL illuminate, would MOST probabally be thr BCM at fault OR an ignition feed circuit to the BCM (Body Control Module).
It is VERY likely that the BCM MAY also be causing the 2wd light on, as it gives the siganl to the info center for the 2 or 4 wd status light(s) from the TCCM.
I Hope this helps.
Good Luck
