GMC Repair: fan control, vortec 8100, yukon xl

2001 Yukon XL VORTEC 8100 V8.  Fan control level 1 & level 2 have stopped working.  The fan works fine at level 3 and above.  What could be the source and fix?

Hi
The blower resistor located right next to the blower fan.
It has 6 or 7 wire input and 2 wire output to the blower motor.
IF you can pull the 7 terminal wires off look and make sure they are not burned.
If so you'll need to replace the blower resistor AND resistor harness.
If not you can TRY just the resistor, should work though.
