GMC Repair: coolant leak, intake manifold gasket, coolant system

Question
i have a 1995 gmc sierra k1500 4x4 pickup it over haeated and i noticed coolant leaking from the back of the engine some where under the distributer there is no coolant in the oil and the truck dont miss or hasnt lost any ower is ther some freeze plug or something located in that general area that might have rusted out or blowen out that would cause the sudden leak

Answer
Hi
I would be willing to think it MAY be the intake manifold gasket leaking.
If it were a rear freeze plug, they are located behind the flywheel. and it would be leaking from the transmission/engine joint.
My advise would be to take it to a local shop and have them pressure test the cooling system. Also if they cannot discover the EXACT point of leak, see if they can add dye to the coolant system to aid in the leak detection.
I hope this helps.
Good Luck
