GMC Repair: directionals not working, pep boys, singals

Question
ok pete, i took apart the whole underpanel and did find 2 round silver flasher plugs close to the astray area. i pulled it out and replaced it from one i bought in pep boys, and bam!!! i have directionals! the only problem i have left now is the red brake light on the dash is still lit. if i read in the book it says something must be wrong with my brakes, but there is no sqeaking noise letting me know they are bad, and i recently replaced theother magor thing with the brakes where i had no brakes at all,i forget what it is called, but some kind of vacuum thing under the hood that was expensive!
