GMC Repair: ac clutch replacement, metal shavings, clutch replacement

97 sonoma 2.2\ is the pully that the belt rides on the clutch all one part.i need to replace the clutch it is spinning a little and grinding metal shavings. thanks, dennis

The pulley comes with the clutch kit, the clutch has specific tolerances and may be tricky to set up. Also you really need to replace the oriface tube, I can't explain how but when the clutch does that it always gets shavings in the system. The shavings will collect on the oriface.

Really the best repair is to replaced the entire compressor assembly, it costs more, but there is much less hassle.
