GMC Repair: 1988 chevy s-10, steering wheel, mechanical work

this may seem like kinda of a bizzar question but i have a 1988 chevy s-10 pickup and i need to know what is wrong with the front axel. I make a right turn and there is a cluking sound, more than one it depends on how ling the turn is, it sounds like it is from the front driver side... do you know what it is? thanks for your time

2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive ?. If you apply the brake pedal while the noise is occurring can you detect a different sound and or feel a pulsation in the brake pedal ?. Can you feel it in the steering wheel ?.

What mechanical work has been performed on the vehicle ?. ANYWHERE ?.
