GMC Repair: GMC 1990 Jimmy keeps stalling, jumper wires, gmc jimmy

Question
Hi there, I have a 1990 gmc jimmy that keeps stalling, but starts up without a jumpstart needed. I have replaced the battery, alternator and module. Please help?

Answer
I DO NOT mean to be RUDE and or DIS-RESPECTFUL, BUT, I will never understand WHY people keep installing part after part after part in hopes of getting LUCKY and curing the problem, When in fact by replacing  part after part after part, They could be ADDING additional problems to the one(s) that they already have.

Today's electronics are very complex but very simple to diagnose and find the cause thru PATIENCE and understanding of the system. But as soon as the word "COMPUTER " is said, PANIC sets in and guessing and parts starts flying.

You CANNOT use JUMPER WIRES and TEST LIGHTS on MOST of these electronic components as they range in usage of voltages from UNDER one volt UP TO normal battery voltage. One wrong GUESS and you WILL destroy an electronic component and they are NOT forgiving and they are NOT cheap to purchase.

With that said,  What was the LAST repair on the vehicle ?. ANY repair of any nature ?. In most cases problems that arise days, weeks or even months later can usually be traced back to the previous repair.

You replaced WHAT module ?. I also need past repair history.

Why did you replace the battery and the alternator ?. Be SPECIFIC as to WHY you replaced them.
