GMC Repair: 2003 GMC Yukon 4.8L V8, factory bulletins, gmc yukon

Question
Two things happening..1)When I turn the wheel all the way to the left, I hear one fairly loud click sound come from the right front wheel well area.  I can even feel the click. 2) If I stay in park and idle for a few minutes, then place the truck in drive and accelerate...it sounds like a very high RPM during acceleration, almost like it doesn't want to switch gears.  This stops happening after I've been driving for 10 minutes or so.

Answer
Hi
The sound IS PROBABALLY the front crossmember. There is/are some factory bulletins that address this issue.
If you loosen the crossmenber, and the noise stops, thats it.
The second one there MAY be a software recalibration that MAY help this concern.
If the software recalibration DOES not help, it is POSSIBLE you have an internal Transmission issue.
Now I must say this is JUST advice and my personal GUESS on these issues.
BEST advice would be to take it to your local repair shop and have it diagnosed.
Hope this helps.
Good Luck
