GMC Repair: Starter problems, battery cables, knock sensor

I removed -and+ cables from the battery.
There is only 2 wires from the starter, one goes to the battery and the other is from the knock sensor
Yes, I unbolted the started from the vehicle.
I cleaned the started becuase I have problems starting the truck, I think it's the solenoid.
Yes, I did bolted back on to the vehicle.
Yes, I did attached the battery and the knock sensor wire, they go right next to each other from the solenoid.
When installing battery cables it wants to start without the key on ignition.

No, There is no wire that goes from the starter to the knock sensor.

E-mail me some pictures of this wiring setup as I have NEVER seen a wire from the starter to the knock sensor.

OK, What you can do is to remove the starter and take it into any auto parts store and they will be more than happy to test your starter for free.
