How is the clutch slave cylinder removed on the(1986)2000 Spider?

It is held in place by an external snap ring. External snap ring pliers are inexpensive at the local parts house.
There are also internal snap ring pliers, you want the external ones. Sometimes corrosion causes the cylinder to stick. Vibrating with a hammer can loosen it. If it is severe then heat will have to be applied.
