Answer
You have basically 2 other choices.
1) Holley 600 w/vacuum secondaries. Been around for a long time. Dependable, cheap, can find used ones online, easily adjusted to match your engine requirements. They are prone to leakage at the gaskets and you need to know how to do the adjustments correctly to properly set it up. i.e. float level, power valve, etc.
2) Edelebrock 600. Based on the Carter AFB design. More expensive and harder to find used ones. I haven't used this carb, but have heard many good things about it. Easy to calibrate with different metering rods. Vacumm scondaries. Reliable. Doesn't leak like a Holley.
Unless your 304 is REALLY modified, you won't need anything bigger than a 600 cfm. If you have an automatic, be sure to get vacuum secondaries. DO NOT get a double pumper.
Good luck.
