American Motors: carb, bolt pattern, holley

i want to replace my carb on my inline 6 258 4.2 liter, and you told me i could get a holley 2 barrel, i looked this up on 4wd.com and its say it is for a 304 engine, and its manual choke. i wanted an elctric, but in ur opinion what is better a manual or an electric choke, plus how can i get the holley on my engine when its not made for it.

There is available a carburetor adapter for the Holley bolt pattern to a Carter bolt pattern. You could also replace the intake manifold with an aluminum one, but you would then need an adapter to fit your two barrel to a four barrel manifold. Either choke will work, it just depends on what you want.
