Audio Systems: CD, laser diode, bose radio

If I set my CD player to "Repeat" so that the same CD plays over and over again all day long, will that do any harm to either the CD or the player? The player is a Bose radio/CD player.

Answer
No. Other than normal wear; eventually the motor and moving parts may fatigue and quit operating.

Also, eventually the laser diode that reads the digital information on the disc will weaken to the point the data will no longer be detectable and the player will quit.

But, for one day you have no worries.
