Audio Systems: Blaupunkt Radio/cd player in 2003 Ford Focus, blaupunkt radio cd, factory wiring harness

I have a 2003 ford focus with this radio in it.  It seems to have a mind of it's own.  Sometimes will work but after car is turned off and back on again won't work. Sometimes will just be on when I go to get in the car after sitting all night without the key in the ingnition.  I have tried to fix by "resetting to factory default" as some people have suggested.  Worked for only a couple of days.  Is there a fix or should I just get a new (and different) radio?

If it is a factory unit, it is probably time for a replacement (although the stereo could be wired up incorrectly or the power and/or memory wire could be poorly attached [including a possible poor ground wire] if it is an aftermarket headunit).
If the wiring checks out good it is definitely time for a new headunit.

Many reasonably priced aftermarket replacements are available just be sure to get the correct installation kit and the factory wiring harness adapter kit and it should be a breeze.
