Audio Systems: Driving multiple speakers, onkyo tx, speaker connection

Question
Hello,
I am trying to drive multiple speakers with the Onkyo TX-SR313 receiver.  Is this possible because I am trying to get one person's voice to come out all the speakers at the same time. Example: if I connect 4 speakers to the receiver...one to the front left, one to the front right, one to the surround left, and the last to the surround right outputs will the receiver know to send the same voice to all the speakers or will it be like a movie in surround sound where you hear a knock on the door out of the left speaker and footsteps from the right speaker? I hope this makes sense. Thanks.

Answer
Yes, it makes sense.  You want to use the "full mono" settings on the receiver.  In fact, there are 5 speaker connections if you include the front center (and not including the woofer output which would be a 6th speaker connection).

If you download the English owners manual from here:

http://www.intl.onkyo.com/downloads/manuals/pdf/tx-sr313_manual_e.pdf

Then, go to page EN-30 you will find directions on how to set it into "Full Mono".

That should do it for you. Let me know if you need further discussion.
