Audio Systems: cd changer, bose systems, disc magazine

Question
i just got a 96 Saturn sedan and in the rear it has a delco 12 disc cd changer and i don't now how to work it .

Answer
I am assuming you do not have the original owners manual for the vehicle?  It would have the instructions on how to operate the various audio systems that came in that year car.  I could not find the manual online, however it seems that if you are the registered owner and have the VIN number you can get at it from the gm.com websites.  Try that.  Also, used car manuals can often be found at used bookstores and auto shops.

I think the changer uses a magazine, maybe two magazines in some designs.  But, if your system is by BOSE, then it will be a single 12 disc holder mechanism.

Since the car is a very old one you might find the changer no longer works.  You may be able to find a replacement, if necessary, at

http://www.oemautosound.com/pc-32-32-delco-cd-magazine-12-disc-25678545.aspx

Which, by the way, is for Bose systems and does contain a single 12 disc magazine.

The inventory is low, so you should check with them first......  but price is very good only $70 which is a bargain if you need a replacement.

Hope this helps.

Let me know if you run out of ideas.
