Audio Systems: static coming from amp powering, excessive power, low frequencies

hi i recently added amp to my music 1 for lows and one for hi's my hi amp has alot of static sounds in it i wonder if theres a solution to my problem

So, the high frequency amp is connected to drive only the tweeters in the speaker system?  Do you have a crossover to keep the low frequencies out?  If not, the tweeters will be overloading and make lots of clatter and distorted sounds and they will burnout rather quickly due to the excessive power.  Maybe that is your problem?  Let me know if there is more to the story.
