Audio Systems: Dim panel on Yamaha RX-V861, channel stereo, word search

A long time ago someone ask you a question about their front panel on this unit going dim after they messed with the unit.  They didn't know what they did or how to fix it.  Without a model you couldn't help at the time.

The same thing happened to me.  See my model in the subject line.  Today, my front panel went dim, too. Scene button lights and the operation of the unit are fine. I do plug in my headphones a lot and set the sound to 2 channel stereo when I do that.  Don't know if that has any impact on the panel.  It hasn't before but I might have touched something else.  My manual says nothing about this. What can I do to restore the brightness to my front panel?  I'm don't know if I should try factory reset since it might cause me to lose scene settings and have to do those all over again?

OK, I have done a word search on the manual of your set just now.  Page 82 of the English section has the dimmer control explanation.

There is a listing in the index under DIMMER, also, that will direct you to page 82.
