Answer
This is not really man thing. It is more of a professional thing.
While it can be a great experience to DIY, you could really burn your vehicle to the ground by learning-as-you-go. You might also set off an airbag which can be deadly.. neither of these are 'made-up' reasons.
My expertise is offered here as advice so that is all I can do for you. I cannot guess what is installed currently or what your choices/ preferences are.
for instance, I cannot presume that you know about polarity or how to check for it in the speaker wiring. Once we go through this properly, you will nearly be an expert in many facets of this hobby. If you want to ride and jam out with little concern over how or why it works.. you might be best served by using another local pro.

While JL is reputable...Pioneer and Jensen are not my 2nd choices for decent car audio (much less my 1st choice).
The JL website will tell you all you need to know on properly loading the speakers into an appropriate enclosure.
I would face them towards the back of the vehicle for longer wavelengths/more bottom end.

You did not specify which amplifier models you are using so I cannot tell you how to wire them up.
It sounds like you have a portion of an aftermarket audio system. Are you planning on using the stock headunit as well?
I need to know every make and model number of the aftermarket gear you have in order to properly advise you.
Lame systems are riddled with guesswork and poor decisions by otherwise over-zealous audio enthusiasts.
Does this vehicle have the stock Infinity audio system and/or steering wheel controls? If so.. do you wish to retain the steering wheel features while using an aftermarket headuint?
The stock speakers can/will work but you would be well advised to replace them all since they are 15 years old and may require special attention since the stock infinity systems have power amps.
I have been doing this a LONG time and that is my best advice with the info you have provided.
It may seem like I have a lot more questions than you did (and I should with so few specifics being provided to me).
Please read the notes about posting questions to me next time and we should be able to move onward with this.

It is sad that you have used pros so many times and picked up so little from them in the process.  I can help rectify that situation if you work with me and paint a picture with words, makes, model numbers and your realistic expectations of the system.
