Audio Systems: Connecting Antenna, rf amplifiers, antenna accessories

Question
Hello, I am trying to make a rf signal receiver more sensitive. To attach an antenna that I have found, I will need a connector for an external antenna. But, the receiver doesn't have that, yet!Do you know if it is possible for me to put one on the device myself?

Answer
Answer to your question is impossible to give until you describe the rf signal receiver circuit.

If you have a maker/model number or a schematic please send it so we can understand what kind of rf receiver you are talking about.

PS: Most conventional type rf amplifiers can have an antenna connected easily but the input impedance of the first stage of amplification must be matched to the impedance of the antenna.  The transmission line between the antenna and receiver input must match these impedances also.

PPS: If you happen to be working with an FM band receiver device and want more sensitivity you should probably just add an rf booster amp.
