Audio Systems: old receiver, push button switches, harman karden

Hello, I purchased a Harman Karden stereo reiever in 1982 that I would like to keep. I am told it is built better than any that can be bought now. It works fine except that the tuner station indicator light is out and some of the push button switches need to be pushed in and out a few times. I was going to open it up and replace the bulb. While I have it open can these push button switches be cleaned?

yes, get a can of good control cleaner/lube such as de-ox-id, my favorite. all it takes is a little 'spritz' and rapidly work control/switch several times. this should last several years before needing cleaning again. be sure to have unit unplugged from wall before attempting...
