QuestionQUESTION: I have a 06 Silverado with a Bose 6 disc cd changer. I am trying to add a Panasonic dvd player but it needs a class II serial data input to turn on and off. Is there a work around for this serial data input or an aftermarket item available like the item DVD keeper made for ford cars and trucks?

QUESTION: Yes factory DVD out of another silverado.
Answerif yuou can find the correct wiring harness and plug that into the 12 pin plug behind the radio it will work
you need a radio that comes with a BAND button and CD/AUX button, radios with am/fm buttons don't work
also the vehicle needs to go to the dealer and the radio flash memory needs to be reprogram
you need to use a gm scan tool for that
also the dvd needs to be from 2003 to 2006 only 2007 and is land-buss
