Audio Systems: 2003 bose stereo, chevy tahoe, 54 chevrolet

i have the bose stereo in my 2003 chevy tahoe. one day i went to switch the cd from disk 6 to disk 2. it said initilizing and stopped doing anything. if i hit the eject button it says no disk, but when i hit the load button it says changer full. i do have 6 cds in there. please let me know what you think i could do your input would be great thank you very much

These are terrible monsters to work on.  All the Bose stuff is non-conforming and they are difficult to troubleshoot and repair.  You cannot replace with universal parts or systems.  CD player mechanisms are tempermental and can go south for no appearant reason.  Your only choice is to replace the changer with the same model or replace the entire electronics and throw out all the Bose system right down to the speakers.

Replacement is generally a better route to go as the new or rebuilt changer is less expensive than the cost of repair.  Most repairs to changers don't last long either as they have a record of breaking down again soon afterwards.
