What do you think of online car audio retailers? Whos the best and worst? Heard great things about some, terriable things about others.

Not sure what the purpose of your question is and also not sure that I am any expert on the subject.  But, I like crutchfield because they have the most up-to-date date data and helpful information.  They are on top of all the issues relating to car audio technology and installation including what fits and works in cars by make, year and model.  They are real experts on car installations.
