Audio Systems: Kicker zx850.2 protection- reversed polarity, kicker amp, speaker line

I have a 2006 zx850.2 kicker amp. I reversed the polarity (12+ to GND port) and since that the red protection light is on even if installed correctly.
What can i do to undo the protection system? Thanks

I fear you have caused internal damage to the amp. Please read through the owners manual as there are several comments about the protection system.

Before taking it in for service, try this:

ONE:  Disconnect the power from the amp. Disconnect the speaker connections at the amp. Let it sit for 1/2 hour with no connections whatsoever.

TWO:  Power up (correctly) with no speakers connected yet.

THREE: If protection light does not come on, then turn amp off; connect one speaker, then try again.  Etc.  If light comes on again when speakers are connected you have short in speaker line or voice coil of speaker.  

FOUR:  If light stays on under all conditions you will need service.
